Visiting International Surgeon Award (WINS VISA Award)

This award will be distributed annually and is intended to help fund a resident, fellow, or young faculty woman neurosurgeon to attend the AANS or CNS meeting. The goal of this award is to recognize dedication to the advancement of international neurosurgery through projects that aim to improve and enhance neurosurgery in low- and middle-income countries.

Awardees will present a talk at the WINS Reception held at the meetings. Wilkins-Barrick awardees will form part of a network of like-minded individuals who will continue to collaborate to advance neurosurgery in low- and middle-income countries. They will also have the opportunity to work with the Greg Wilkins-Barrick Chair in projects aimed to address equitable neurosurgical care and education globally.
